'X Factor': Watch Simon Cowell Be Speechlessly Angry at the Judges Over Drew (VIDEO) Last night's "The X Factor" saw the unlikely elimination of two favorites in the competition: Astro, who was sent home mid-show for receiving the lowest number of votes, and Drew, who was sent home at the end of the show following a vote from the judges.

The vote was a particularly dramatic one, partially because of Drew's all-out sobbing (at one point I believe she actually said "boo-hoo-hoo") and partially because of the reaction from her mentor, Simon Cowell: Cowell was so furious at his fellow judges, particularly at Paula Abdul, that he refused to speak.

That was a point of frustration for host Steve Jones, who couldn't get a comment from Drew due to her bawling, and couldn't get a comment from Cowell, who repeated "I'm not saying anything." Jones' exasperation was clear, as when fellow contestants Rachel Crow and Melanie Amaro ran out on stage to hug Drew, Jones threw up his hands in defeat.

Later, Cowell managed this statement backstage: "On a scale of one to 10, I’d put my anger at 11. That chair is going to be chopped and I'm doing the chopping.” Cowell also noted that he felt responsible for Drew's elimination, feeling that he should have provided a better song choice and staging for her Michael Jackson homage.

Jones, for his part, acknowledged Cowell's anger and expressed his regrets on having to pursue a comment from Drew. "“He was pissed as you would say in this country," said Jones of the silent Simon. "Simon was very very annoyed and I love him, but I got a little frustrated and said, ‘Why aren't you speaking? That's what people watching show want to hear. I wanted to hear!’ So I got annoyed by that and then annoyed with myself because I'm trying to drag information out of poor Drew and I take no joy in making a 14-year-old girl cry.”

But don't feel too bad for Drew. The 14-year-old singer is a self-professed Justin Bieber fanatic, and got the encouragement of a lifetime when Bieber himself tweeted her. "Keep your head up. I lost my first competition too. this is just the beginning for u. never say never. best wishes," he wrote.

Watch the video of the elimination below. The actual elimination begins around the 4:00 mark, at which point you can see a sobbing Drew and a pissed-off Cowell.
